White Cloud Security TAME Team

The White Cloud Security TAME Team (Trusted Application Management and Enforcement Team) is a specialized group within White Cloud Security responsible for managing and enforcing application trust policies to maintain a secure environment for organizations using White Cloud Security solutions. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring that only authorized and trusted applications are allowed to run, effectively supporting the "Zero Trust" execution model.

Engaging the WCS TAME Team service essentially provides a fully outsourced management solution for the Trust Lockdown SaaS. The Trust Lockdown DCA is not suited for this service. DCA users are expected to educate themselves using the provided documentation on the product's management, usage, and infrastructure implementation or engage the TAME Training services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting Investigations: The TAME Team is responsible for thoroughly investigating any attempts to run unauthorized or unknown applications. This includes analyzing the nature of the application, its origin, behavior, and any associated risks. The team uses the WCS product and external tools to vet programs before making trust decisions.

  • Implementing Trust Actions: Based on the findings from investigations, the TAME Team makes decisions about whether to allow or block specific applications. This includes adding applications to the trusted list (handprinting), clearing monitor mode exceptions, or enforcing block actions to prevent malicious or unauthorized software from running.

  • Real-Time Monitoring and Response: The team continuously monitors all endpoints and servers for any activity outside the established trust policies. When suspicious or unauthorized behavior is detected, the TAME Team responds in real-time to mitigate potential threats.

  • Policy Management: Responsible for creating, updating, and refining trust policies that define which applications are allowed to run in an organization’s environment. These policies are tailored to meet the unique security needs of each client.

  • Training and Support: Provides training and guidance to clients on how to effectively use the White Cloud Security platform, including how to manage trust policies, respond to alerts, and handle potential security incidents.

  • Continuous Improvement: Constantly reviews and improves trust policies based on new threat intelligence, software updates, and changes in the client's environment. This ensures that the security policies remain effective against evolving threats.

  • Incident Handling: Works closely with clients to investigate and resolve security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

Benefits of the TAME Team

  • Expert Oversight: Provides clients with expert oversight and management of trust policies, ensuring robust protection against unauthorized and malicious applications.

  • Rapid Response: Ensures rapid response to any security events, minimizing the potential impact of threats.

  • Enhanced Security Posture: Maintains a strong security posture by constantly monitoring and adjusting trust policies based on the latest threat intelligence and best practices.

  • Support and Guidance: Offers clients ongoing support, training, and guidance to maximize the effectiveness of the White Cloud Security solutions.

Summary

The White Cloud Security TAME Team is a vital part of the White Cloud Security solution, ensuring that trust policies are effectively managed and enforced to protect organizations from unauthorized and malicious software. By providing expert management, real-time monitoring, and rapid response capabilities, the TAME Team helps organizations maintain a secure environment in line with a zero-trust security model.
